Advantages of BFS
• More Accurate Dosing (Unit-Dose) — Allows Asept Pak to package your product in liquid unit-dose form, helping to reduce human error.
• Preservative-Free — By aseptically packaging your products, Asept Pak can eliminate the need for preservatives in your product.
• Contamination Prevention — Contamination rates in the blow-fill-seal process are much lower than in many other forms of packaging. The FDA considers Blow-Fill-Seal to be a superior form of aseptic production.
How it Works
With aseptic blow-fill-seal technology, a container is formed (blown), filled, and sealed in a continuous process without human intervention, in a sterile enclosed area inside the machine. Pharmaceutical grade resin is extruded into a tube, which is then formed into a container. A mandrel is inserted into the newly formed container and filled. The container is then sealed, all inside a sterile shrouded chamber inside the machine. The product is then discharged to a non-sterile area for packaging and distribution.
